So I managed to finishing reading this. Which isn't to say that it was a task of any kind to get through. I'm a big fan of Morris'. The book is divided into a few chapters that are all separate mysteries that involve photographs at the centre of their respective puzzles. The great thing about Morris and his perspective, is he takes nothing for granted. He questions everything. And when it comes to photography and what we see, we usually assume alot. The book takes Morris from investigating the order of photographs from the Crimean war to investigating the authenticity of a smile in Abu Ghraib. The thing that keeps me coming back to Morris, as a favourite author/filmmaker of mine is that he is one of those individuals that challenges you to observe things in a different way. I always come away from any of his work with new ideas and new questions. Highly recommend checking this out.
